Overview

Through layers of paint and collage, Greg Miller excavates iconic imagery of mid-century popular culture. Growing up in California in the 1960s, Miller was exposed to the fleeting billboards, advertisements and pulp fiction covers that saturated the American Consciousness. Building upon familiar visions of a lost cultural landscape, Miller creates work that pulls from physical remnants of the past. With an understanding of graphic nature of visual iconography, Miller’s art creates new narratives of American Culture. Greg Miller is currently based in Texas, and his career has spanned over four decades and is featured in numerous museum and private collections around the globe, including by the Charles Saatchi Collection and the Frederick R. Weisman Collection.
